Angel Tree - Providing Gifts for Needy Children

St. John's Episcopal Church in Glencarlyn is again participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree project which provides gifts to children of low income families at Christmas.
Unlike past years, we did not get a tags with listing of specific children's wishes (next year we will be back on track). However the Salvation Army has asked donors to bring in generic toys and clothing. You may purchase as usual, for either male or female, but you can decide on the age range. You may buy toys and/or clothing. We are being asked to concentrate on sizes 10-12 or 14-16 for clothing since this is the area where they are usually short.
Please put your gifts in large plastic bags and bring them to the church basement. The deadline is Monday, December 10. The office is open Monday - Thursday 9:30 - 1:30 pm and the church is open Sunday until noon. You may want to call during the week before coming 703-671-6834.
