Celebrating Confirmation at St John's

Paul Petrich (at left below), Maddie Harbin (second from left) and John Petrich (at right) made their own profession of faith before Bishop Susan Goff (second from right) on June 2 and were confirmed at St. John's as full members of the church.
We have seen them grow in body, mind, and spirit over their years at St. John's as they took part in the community--bagging lunches for the homeless, selling Fair Trade products, helping with church work days, playing a part in caring for younger children at church, and joining in worship and celebrations. Each, in his or her own way, has pondered what faith means in his or her life. We welcome them with congratulations.
We also are grateful for the dedication of Del Hunt (left, back row, below), who sponsored Paul; to Beth Cavey, our Minister of Family Programs (center, back row), who made the confirmation program possible; and to Brian Cavey (right, back row), who sponsored John.
Bishop Susan Goff (below) delivered the sermon (at right) and spent time after the service to take part in a question-and-answer session with St. John's parishioners (at left).
