Youth Christian Education 10 am Sundays

If you are looking for engaging Bible based education about the Christian faith for your child, our experienced teacher fosters learning while incorporating active fun for children in kindergarten to 8th grade. All are welcome to join us at our Sunday school whether it is on a regular basis or occasional drop-in..

We also provide a professionally staffed child care facility for younger children during the 10 am service.

Our approach to Sunday School is to try to teach by example and by action, rather than by lecture. We embrace a “one room schoolhouse” approach that involves kids at every age in our weekly lessons and activities.

Youth Christian Ed ProjectOur youth actively participate in lessons, crafts, worship, service and fellowship.

Lessons: Our classes cover a wide range of topics, but each week the lessons are brief and fairly focused with some discussion by the students on the key points.

Crafts: We incorporate a hands-on activities, crafts or projects that further the understanding of the topic. In the past we have done crafts that focused on different aspects of the Cross; understanding of the different church seasons; church history; and stories in the Bible. An example is to the right.

Service: Each month the youth assemble bagged lunches for the Bailey’s Crossroads Homeless Shelter.

Fellowship: The children join their families for the second part of the Sunday service and then join the congregation the fellowship time following the service.
