Emergency Cancellation Policy

St. John’s will make a reasonable effort to hold Services and other scheduled activities consistent with existing weather conditions. If events are to be cancelled, the following timelines will be followed. For scheduled activities, St. John’s will announce cancellations at least 4 hours before the event. When Sunday Services are to be cancelled, St. John’s will announce cancellations by 7:00 pm the evening before.

When Virginia’s Governor, the Department of Transportation (VDOT), or Arlington County Government has announced a State of Emergency, all St. John’s activities will be cancelled until the State of Emergency has been lifted.

Members will be contacted about cancellations by the Vestry Call Tree.

We will try to get an alert banner on the website as soon as possible.
