Family-friendly Film, Refreshments and Fun for Free, Saturday, May 20

Finding Dory  to be shown at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Arlington  from 4:30 - 6:30 pm

Arlington, VA (May 1, 2017)—Nothing is more fun than families and friends spending a Saturday afternoon watching a great, kid-friendly movie together. On Saturday, May 20 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, bring your family and friends to watch Disney’s “Finding Dory,” at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 415 South Lexington Street, Arlington, Virginia. The afternoon of fun includes refreshments, a movie and games—for free for all families.

Movie Saturday is one of a series of family-friendly activities St. John’s Episcopal Church launched this year to provide families with an engaging variety of entertaining things for children to do for free.  Last month’s activities focused on the joy of books with a celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday that included book readings, games, and art activities.  Most activities take place at the church on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Finding Dory, released in theaters last year is from the Academy Award®–winning creators of Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Nemo.”  It’s an epic undersea adventure filled with imagination, humor and heart. When Dory, the forgetful blue tang (Ellen DeGeneres), suddenly remembers she has a family who may be looking for her, she, Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) take off on a life-changing quest to find them…with help from Hank, a cantankerous octopus; Bailey, a beluga whale who’s convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz; and Destiny, a nearsighted whale shark!

St. John’s Episcopal Church is a vibrant congregation with a big heart that has been serving Arlington for more than 120 years as an inclusive and welcoming community of faith.  For more information about the Family Fun Activities, please call 703.671.6834.  Visit the website at www.stjohnsarlingtonva.org.
